About Me

Eleanor & Albert

We met back-packing in the Maine woods in 1980. We had a few test-dates in the years following, and fell in love for sure in 1984. We got married in October of 1985, about a year after graduating from college.

Albert - He's the real outdoor guy, and actually lived on a farm until he was about 8 yrs old. He's a geologist by education, and a high-school chemistry teacher by profession. He's also a fantastic dad - even his teenage kids think so.

Eleanor - I'm the business person - an overeducated ExecuMom on a lifelong journey to underwhelm my potential. Leaving corporate life in June 2005 was a major step forward on that journey. It's allowing me to spend more time with Caroline (18) and Tom (16) before they leave home. It has also given me time to think up hair-brained schemes like buying the farm.
